Leaving your dog at home is not always necessary when you are heading out for coffee in Dubai. A growing number of cafés now welcome four-legged guests, although the rules differ from place to place: some allow dogs indoors and outdoors, while others restrict pets to their terraces.
From a Mexican café inside Alserkal Avenue to a Downtown spot with its own grooming salon, here are five currently operating Dubai cafés where you can plan a coffee date with your pup.

LILA Molino is particularly useful during Dubai’s warmer months because it is one of the less common cafés where dogs are welcomed indoors, rather than being limited to an outdoor terrace.
Located in Warehouse 18 at Alserkal Avenue, the colourful Mexican café combines a coffee roastery with a tortilleria and all-day dining space. Fresh corn masa is prepared in-house for tortillas, while the menu stretches from Mexican-inspired breakfast dishes to tamales, enchiladas, sandwiches and desserts.
For pet owners, the indoor policy is the real advantage. Water bowls are available for dogs, and the venue has developed a reputation as a genuinely pet-friendly rather than simply pet-tolerant space.

Pawdy Neighbors AL MANZIL
Pawdy Neighbors takes the pet-friendly café idea much further than most venues. The Downtown Dubai concept combines a neighbourhood bistro with a professional pet grooming salon, allowing owners to sit down for coffee or breakfast while their pet is being looked after nearby.
Dogs are welcomed indoors, water bowls are available, and there are pet-specific treats and menu options. The grooming area is separated from the café space, so owners can keep an eye on what is happening without having to leave the venue.
It is a particularly practical option for Downtown residents who want to combine a grooming appointment with breakfast, lunch, or a coffee catch-up.

Daughter and Dad Coffee

For something quieter than a typical city café, Daughter and Dad Coffee offers a very different setting. The family-run venue sits within the greenery of Desert Palm Equestrian Centre in Warsan 2, giving it a countryside feel despite being in Dubai.
The café was founded by daughter-and-dad team Lia and Justin and has close links to Dubai’s speciality coffee industry. Alongside locally roasted coffee, the menu has a strong plant-led focus with vegetarian and vegan-friendly breakfast and brunch options.
Pets are welcome both inside and outside, but there is an important rule for dog owners: dogs should remain on their leads because the café is located within an active equestrian environment where horses and riders may be nearby.

BohoX – All Day Breakfast in Dubai
BohoX brings a more central option to the list. Located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, the Downtown restaurant is known for its leafy, Bali-inspired interiors, long breakfast menu and oversized desserts.
For pet owners, the important distinction is that pets are welcome on the outdoor terrace only. BohoX itself currently describes its outdoor area as its dedicated pet-friendly space, so dogs should not be assumed to have access to the indoor dining room.
Water bowls are available on the terrace, making it a useful option during Dubai’s cooler mornings and evenings when outdoor dining becomes more comfortable.

Brunch & Cake

Not every Brunch & Cake branch should automatically be treated as pet-friendly. The two Dubai locations currently highlighted for dog owners are Brunch & Cake Address Montgomerie (Under The Tree) and Brunch & Cake Jumeirah Islands.
The Address Montgomerie location has a particularly suitable setting for pets, with outdoor seating surrounded by greenery and views across the golf-course environment. Jumeirah Islands also offers a spacious outdoor setting beside the community’s lakes.
Dogs are welcomed in the outdoor areas, where water bowls can be provided. The cafés serve the generous breakfast and brunch dishes associated with the brand, including pancakes, eggs, avocado-based dishes, baked goods, coffee and smoothies.

Dubai’s pet-friendly café scene is becoming more varied, but the policies are not identical. LILA Molino, Pawdy Neighbors and Daughter and Dad Coffee offer indoor pet-friendly options, while BohoX and the participating Brunch & Cake branches are better suited to cooler weather because pet seating is outdoors.
Pet policies can also change because of venue operations, special events, or local requirements, so it is sensible to confirm the current policy with the café before making a special journey with your dog.
