MultiHopper Opens API Access for AI Agents and Developers : Launching “SWIFT 2.0” for Onchain Digital Assets

Programmable, non-custodial onchain routing for Solana. 2,800+ live transfers. Revenue positive. Top 3 at Visa’s track, Solana Colosseum Berlin. MCP-compatible. 100+ BD discussions with integration commitments.

LISBON, PORTUGAL, May 26, 2026 : MultiHopper, the programmable onchain routing company building regulatory-ready payment infrastructure for AI agents, developers, wallets and institutions, today opened API access for autonomous systems and developers. The release brings to market what the company calls “SWIFT 2.0”: programmable, compliant, private routing for digital assets rebuilt natively onchain : the same infrastructure SWIFT provides for fiat, now available for crypto.

SWIFT moves approximately $43 trillion through the world’s banks every day: compliantly, privately, and with no public exposure of counterparty relationships or payment paths. MultiHopper applies the same principles to digital assets on public blockchains, without mixers, tumblers, shielded pools, private blockchains, or commingled funds.

The company shipped its MVP in nine weeks. It has completed 2,800+ transfers on Solana mainnet, is revenue positive, and has 100+ active business development discussions with initial               integration commitments confirmed. MultiHopper was placed in the Top 3 startups by Visa at the Solana Colosseum Berlin hackathon.

What MultiHopper Does

MultiHopper is a programmable onchain routing layer for digital assets. It routes assets across any wallet, cold storage address, or smart contract onchain : including addresses like Binance, Coinbase Prime, USDC, Jupiter, or any other onchain address : with full developer control over the path and timing. No custody. No signing authority required from intermediary wallets. No pooled funds. No commingling.

The core mechanism: MultiHopper has turned every wallet, cold storage address, and smart contract into a programmable relay : a routing node the system can move assets through without requiring the wallet owner’s signature. Assets travel through a configured multi-hop path : structured or randomised : before arriving at the final destination, with full onchain traceability preserved throughout.

Privacy is achieved at the public transaction layer through programmable routing mechanics, not through obfuscation, shielded pools, or zero-knowledge commingling. The company calls this approach “privacy in the open”: meaningful observational privacy that is fully compatible with regulatory requirements, where selective disclosure to regulators is always possible on demand.

Built for Machine Discovery

MultiHopper is infrastructure designed to be discovered and integrated by AI agents natively:

The AI Agent Payment Problem

As AI agents evolve from assistants into autonomous economic actors, they increasingly need to call paid APIs, buy compute, subscribe to data feeds, settle invoices, interact with DeFi protocols, and coordinate value globally : autonomously, without human sign-off at every step.

Public blockchains provide the settlement layer, 24/7 availability, and programmable logic to support this. But they expose wallet interactions, counterparties, payment paths, and behavioral patterns in real time. An autonomous agent paying for data may reveal what it is researching. An agent buying compute may expose when it is scaling. An agent settling invoices may leak commercial relationships. An agent interacting with DeFi may reveal trading strategy.

For AI agents operating at scale, that transparency is an operational vulnerability.

“AI agents need payment skills,” said Enigma, founder of MultiHopper. “Not just wallets or transaction signing, but programmable payment rails that allow agents to move value privately, safely, and in a way that businesses and institutions can actually use.”

How It Works

MultiHopper’s routing layer gives developers and AI agents deterministic, programmable transaction paths. The current release routes across 500 of the busiest smart contracts, wallets, and cold-storage addresses on Solana. Developers control two parameters directly:

Timing entropy: Set a window with a minimum and maximum duration. MultiHopper randomises the actual delivery time within that window : preventing timing-based transaction correlation while keeping delivery within a developer-defined range.

Hop count: Specify an exact number of hops, or define a min/max range for randomisation. More hops increase abstraction. Fewer reduce latency. The tradeoff is configurable per call.

Assets hop through intermediary wallets and contracts : including named addresses like Binance or Coinbase Prime : without those wallets signing or being aware of the route. The full onchain audit trail remains intact throughout.

Compliance Engine: Built In, Not Bolted On

MultiHopper includes a built-in compliance engine that checks every wallet in the route : not just the origin and destination : for OFAC sanctions, illicit fund exposure, and other regulatory flags before routing proceeds. Compliance is structurally enforced, not applied by policy.

MultiHopper is not a mixer, tumbler, shielded pool, or commingled liquidity system:

  • Not a mixer: Funds from different users are never pooled or redistributed. Every route is isolated, single-sender, and fully traceable by the originating party.
  • Not a tumbler: The hop logic is programmable routing. The full audit trail is preserved and available for selective regulatory disclosure on demand.
  • No shielded pools: No ZK-based fund commingling of any kind. No anonymity sets. Compliance verification is always structurally possible.
  • No commingling: Assets never touch another user’s assets at any hop. Clean funds in, clean funds out, with a full onchain record.
  • Excess gas is refunded automatically: Agents and users never overpay.

“The future of AI-agent commerce cannot depend on fully exposed payment trails,” said Enigma. “At the same time, serious infrastructure cannot be built around untraceable finance. The market needs a middle path: private where needed, programmable by default, and compatible with real-world compliance.”

Market Opportunity

SWIFT processes approximately $43 trillion per day through the global banking system. MultiHopper is building the equivalent infrastructure layer for digital assets: compliant, programmable, private, and designed for institutional scale.

As a near-term benchmark: USDT daily transfer volume on Tron alone ranges between $20 billion and $50 billion per day. Capturing 1% of that volume at a 0.5% fee rate would represent $1 million to $2.5 million in daily revenue : from a single asset on a single network.

The platform’s fee model begins at 0.5% of sent assets plus a per-hop native token fee. Revenue sharing for qualifying integration partners is 50/50, with no caps.

Why Now

The regulatory and market environment has materially shifted toward compliant onchain privacy infrastructure:

  • Shielded transactions increased 19% in 2025
  • RAILGUN processed $4 billion in volume : while simultaneously causing wallet blacklistings and debanking for innocent users due to reputational contagion from sanctioned actors using the same infrastructure
  • Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) listed onchain privacy as its top investment thesis for 2026
  • Coinbase acquired Iron Fish to offer clients private transfer capabilities
  • The U.S. SEC closed its Zcash enforcement action with no action taken
  • The Clarity Act provided new legislative framing for digital asset regulation

Use Cases

MultiHopper is purpose-built for:

  • AI agents : programmable payment primitives for autonomous systems paying for APIs, data feeds, compute, subscriptions, and DeFi interactions; no CEX exposure, no custody risk, no compliance overhead baked into agent logic. Private keys never leave the agent’s environment : MultiHopper never receives key material. The full transfer lifecycle runs in three API calls (create, prepare, confirm-broadcast). MCP-compatible agents can expose the entire payment flow as nine discrete tools, with sign_and_broadcast remaining local to the agent’s wallet. A ready-made CLAUDE.md context block is provided for for agents to load MultiHopper’s full API spec into context without hallucinating endpoints or field names. Webhooks deliver real-time transfer lifecycle events as an alternative to polling.
  • Funds and institutional treasury : treasury movement at scale with full auditability and zero commingling; prevents capital movement visibility and treasury graph leakage
  • DeFi and LP flows : abstract liquidity position movements, multi-DEX routing, and programmable abstraction flows without exposing underlying routing logic
  • Payments and stablecoin issuers : confidential transfer products without building new chains
  • Settlement flows and OTC desks : reduce position signaling; route sensitive capital movements compliantly
  • Cross-border payment rails : programmable compliant settlement without CEX intermediaries, in a single API call
  • Wallets and protocols : private transfer features via API integration with 50/50 revenue sharing
  • CBDC pilot environments : configurable routing layers for central bank digital currency infrastructure

Revenue Sharing for Partners

For qualifying partners : agent developers, wallets, platforms, protocols, and payment systems that integrate MultiHopper : revenues generated through fees are shared 50/50. No lock-in. Equal terms. Instant payouts. No caps. No fine print.

The developer API is tiered. Tier 1 (first 500 developers) receives API access and the 50/50 revenue share permanently (subject to terms). Subsequent tiers carry less favourable terms.
