Dubai is preparing to host a major new gathering for the global electric mobility industry, bringing hundreds of companies, government bodies, investors and technology specialists to the city.

The inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference, known as EV World 2026, will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from November 10 to 12, 2026. Organised in strategic partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the event will focus on electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, batteries, autonomous transport and other technologies shaping the future of mobility.

More than 300 local and international companies, authorities and organisations are expected to participate, alongside over 70 speakers, more than 30 partners and approximately 10,000 specialist visitors.

Cleaner transport moves into focus

EV World arrives as both Dubai and the wider UAE continue investing in lower-emission transport.

The exhibition is being held under the theme “Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future”, with discussions expected to cover how electric vehicles can work alongside cleaner energy, smarter infrastructure and increasingly connected transport networks.

The event also supports broader UAE objectives around reducing transport-sector energy consumption and expanding electric mobility. At national level, the UAE is working towards electric vehicles accounting for 50 per cent of vehicles on the road by 2050.

Dubai is also expanding the infrastructure needed to support that transition. By the end of the first quarter of 2026, the emirate had reached 2,223 EV charging points, including DEWA EV Green Charger locations and stations operated by licensed private providers.

Why Dubai has an advantage

Dubai’s position as an international business and logistics hub is one of the reasons organisers are positioning EV World as more than a conventional motor show.

Companies attending will have access to government decision-makers, regional distributors, fleet operators, infrastructure developers and investors from the UAE and wider Middle East.

For manufacturers and technology businesses, that creates opportunities around market entry, partnerships, procurement and investment rather than simply displaying new vehicles.

The UAE’s proximity to GCC, Middle Eastern, African and Asian markets also gives companies a potential regional base from which to expand their electric mobility businesses.

The exhibition will cover considerably more than passenger electric cars.

Visitors can expect technologies spanning commercial EVs, electric fleets, batteries, energy storage, fast charging, smart mobility software and autonomous vehicles.

Future transport will also form part of the programme. Electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, commonly known as eVTOLs, drones and other forms of air mobility are among the technologies expected to feature.

Hydrogen fuel cells, renewable-energy integration, solar technologies and advanced battery-management systems are also included in the wider exhibition scope.

That broad approach reflects how electric mobility is increasingly becoming an ecosystem rather than a single category of vehicle.

More than a traditional exhibition

EV World will combine its exhibition floor with a conference programme featuring industry leaders and technical specialists.

The programme is expected to include panel discussions, workshops, live demonstrations and product showcases, while companies will be able to demonstrate new mobility technologies directly to industry visitors.

A dedicated Startup and Innovation Hub will give emerging businesses space to present new ideas, while a hackathon is planned to encourage practical solutions to challenges facing sustainable transport.

Test drives and demonstrations are also expected to form part of the event, giving visitors a closer look at how some technologies perform beyond a conventional showroom display.

EV World also arrives during a period of rapid change in Dubai’s wider transport network.

RTA has been working towards a long-term transition to zero-emission public transport by 2050, while the emirate continues investing in electric and autonomous mobility.

Alongside the growth of EV charging infrastructure, Dubai is advancing projects involving autonomous taxis, electric public transport and future air-taxi services.

The exhibition is therefore closely connected to changes already taking place across the city rather than being a standalone industry event.

For Dubai, the November gathering provides a platform to attract mobility investment and technology while supporting its broader ambition to become a global centre for electric, connected and sustainable transportation.
