Epoch Batteries has introduced app-based monitoring for its LiFePO4 battery lineup through the Epoch Li-ion app. The app works with all Bluetooth-enabled models across the Essential, Pro, and Elite Series. Nobody has to walk out to the boat, open the RV compartment, or crouch down next to the golf cart anymore just to see what the battery is doing. A phone handles that now.
The app is free and is available on both iOS and Android. Pairing it up takes a few seconds, and after that, the battery data starts coming through. Epoch built this into its lithium battery lineup because getting physical eyes on a battery is not always practical, especially when it is mounted somewhere tight or hard to reach.
Voltage, current, and state of charge are the first things that come up. Most people check those three and already have a solid picture of where the battery stands. What goes deeper is the cell-level breakdown. Every individual cell inside the battery has its own reading, and all of those show up separately rather than just as one combined number.
Catching a problem at the cell level before it spreads is something lead-acid setups never really offered. With the app, if one cell starts pulling away from the rest, that shows up on screen. Alerts go out when anything moves outside the expected range. For someone running a 12V battery in an RV or a 48V battery in a golf cart, knowing about a problem while it is still small is a lot better than finding out when the battery stops working.
Past performance data sits inside the app as well. Going back through that history gives a different kind of picture than a single live reading does. Patterns show up over days and weeks that a quick glance at the battery would never reveal.
Bluetooth connectivity comes built into every model across the Essential and Elite Series. On the RV side, the 12V 300Ah and 12V 460Ah Essential Series models both connect to the app. These are the same RV battery models that include internal heating for cold-weather charging. Anyone already using one of those models can download the app and connect without buying anything extra.
For golf cart users, the app works with golf cart batteries across the LiMax Series. The 36V and 48V kit options both carry Bluetooth. A lithium golf cart battery from that series, paired with the app, gives cart owners visibility they did not have before with lead-acid setups. Golf Cart Batteries in the LiMax line are sold as complete kits, so the Bluetooth hardware comes included from the start.
On the water, marine batteries in the Epoch lineup, including the 12V 172Ah Group 31 and the 12V 300Ah Pro Series, also support the app where Bluetooth is present. Boaters and anglers who spend long hours on the water and need to keep an eye on their lithium batteries without going below deck will find that useful.
Epoch makes lithium batteries across a wide voltage range. A 12V battery and a 48V battery sit at different ends of the catalog, but the app experience works the same way across both. Lithium Batteries in the Elite Series go further by adding Victron Communications support on top of Bluetooth. That means Elite Series owners can monitor through the Epoch app and also integrate with Victron inverters and monitoring hardware at the same time.
The full catalog covers options from 50Ah all the way to 460Ah. Whether someone is running a single RV battery in a camper van or a bank of lithium batteries in a larger off-grid setup, the app gives them one place to check everything that is connected.
About Epoch Batteries
Epoch Batteries was founded by veterans and runs that way today, with one office sitting in Marietta, Georgia, and another in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lithium batteries for marine, RV, Golf Cart Batteries, and home energy storage are what the product line covers. All design and engineering work stays inside the United States. Authorized dealers spread across the country handle sales alongside the Epoch Batteries website. NMEA, ABYC, and NMMA certifications are current, and memberships with GCSAA, RVDA, and the RV Industry Association are all active. An 11-year warranty covers every product in the lineup.
