New Dubai Waterpark Set to Open Within Months at Dubai Parks and Resorts

Dubai is set to add another water-based attraction to its growing entertainment offering, with a new waterpark expected to open within the next few months at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

The announcement was made by Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, during the Rise summit in Dubai on October 14. While the company has not yet revealed the attraction’s name, exact opening date or ticket prices, Eiroa confirmed that the project is being developed specifically with the summer season in mind.

The upcoming attraction will expand the existing Dubai Parks and Resorts portfolio, which already includes several major theme parks and family entertainment experiences.

New waterpark coming to Dubai Parks and Resorts

The new waterpark will become part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the large entertainment destination in Jebel Ali.

Eiroa said the attraction is expected to open in the next couple of months, meaning visitors could potentially see it arrive during the coming winter-to-spring period ahead of Dubai’s next summer season.

However, an exact opening date has not yet been announced.

The attraction is also understood to be designed with Dubai’s hot summer conditions in mind, with Eiroa describing it as a water-focused destination intended for the summer period.

What will the new waterpark include?

Details about the project remain limited at this stage.

Dubai Holding Entertainment has not yet publicly confirmed the waterpark’s official name, number of slides, rides, pools, restaurants or other facilities. Ticket prices and opening hours have also not been announced.

That means visitors should not rely on unofficial claims about specific rides or facilities until Dubai Holding Entertainment releases further information.

What is confirmed is that the waterpark will be added to the Dubai Parks and Resorts portfolio, expanding the destination’s range of attractions beyond its existing theme parks and leisure experiences.

The resort currently brings together MOTIONGATE Dubai, LEGOLAND Dubai, LEGOLAND Water Park, Real Madrid World and RIVERLAND, alongside hotels, restaurants and other entertainment facilities.

Dubai Parks and Resorts has just reopened for the new season

The waterpark announcement comes shortly after Dubai Parks and Resorts reopened for its latest season on October 7, 2026, following a period of closure.

The destination used the closure period for maintenance and refurbishment work, as well as introducing new experiences.

Among the latest additions at RIVERLAND are a Lamborghini Racing Simulator and bowling, forming part of a wider refresh of the entertainment destination.

The resort is therefore entering the new season with several updated experiences before the new waterpark arrives.

More entertainment attractions are being added across Dubai

The planned waterpark is part of a broader expansion of Dubai’s leisure and entertainment offering.

Dubai Holding Entertainment, which operates Dubai Parks and Resorts alongside destinations including Global Village and other attractions, has been introducing new experiences across its portfolio.

The group recently launched its Truly Amazing season, bringing attractions and entertainment destinations under a wider annual campaign.

At Dubai Parks and Resorts, the focus has included refreshing existing experiences while adding new activities designed for families, visitors and residents.

The upcoming waterpark will add another type of attraction to the destination and could give visitors another reason to spend a full day or longer at the resort.

When will the new Dubai waterpark open?

An exact opening date is not yet confirmed.

Fernando Eiroa said the waterpark is expected to open within the next couple of months, while also indicating that it is being developed with the summer season in mind.

More information about the attraction, including its name, opening date, ticket prices, attractions and operating hours, is expected to be announced closer to launch.

For now, visitors should treat the project as planned and forthcoming rather than already open.
