Style Code Inc., the North York menswear boutique built around made-to-measure suiting, celebrated its move to a new flagship location with a cocktail open house in late September. The new address, 500 Wilson Avenue, Unit 31, North York, ON, located in Nordic Condos, sits minutes from Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
Special guests included Michelle Cooper, MPP for Eglinton–Lawrence, who was guest of honor to present a scroll recognizing the milestone.
The double-sized storefront lets Style Code’s team of personal menswear stylists expand the boutique’s most requested service: Wedding and Groomsmen Suit Packages designed to outfit an entire wedding party, groom included, in a single guided appointment. Made-to-measure (M2M) and custom-made suits, shirting and accessories are fitted on site, with mix-and-match fabric and style options that let every groomsman find his fit without losing a coordinated look for the group.
Alongside its stylish wedding and groomsmen suiting, Style Code has expanded its Men’s Tuxedo Shop and Tux Packages for grooms, groomsmen and guests dressing for formal and black-tie events across Toronto and the GTA. Every package includes a custom fitting with a personal menswear stylist, fabric selection from a curated range of mills, and the tailoring adjustments needed for a true fit – the same combination of craftsmanship and service that has made Style Code a fixture of North York wedding parties since it added groom and groomsmen packages in 2019.
“Word of mouth is what built this business,” said a Style Code Inc. stylist. “About 80 percent of the men who sit in our fitting room are here because a groomsman, a groom or a happy client sent them our way. That doesn’t happen unless every appointment feels like the client is the only one in the room.”
That boutique experience – welcoming, unhurried and built around getting the suit selection and fit exactly right – is what Style Code’s personal menswear stylists point to as the real reason for the expansion. The new North York location was designed to keep that one-on-one approach intact while finally giving full wedding parties, not just individual grooms, the room to be measured, fitted and outfitted together.
The September 24 open house doubled as a thank-you to the clients, referral partners and neighbors who supported the move, with cocktails, food and a DJ rounding out the evening. Guests also learned about Style Code’s menswear gift certificates, a popular pick for the groomsman or gift-giver who isn’t quite ready to book a full fitting.
