Dr. Kanans Visvanats, FRSC, founder of Zoar Limited, has been devoting more than three decades to providing essential healthcare worldwide. The doctor has extensive experience, working in more than 70 countries, with a specific mission of bringing life-saving medical technologies to the most inaccessible and needy places.
Dr. Visvanats’ work focuses on pharmaceutical science and global health, specifically bringing innovative medical technologies and therapies to developing nations and isolated regions, including the creation of key orphan drugs and oncology products. For his contribution to medicine and humanitarian help to vulnerable populations, he has been awarded the Albert Schweitzer Medical Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. Visvanats is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a member of the board of the Institute of Economics at the Latvian Academy of Sciences. Their courage also inspired Liberia 7-15. In a country where rugby is unknown, we use the sport to bring young people together and educate them on the prevention of violence against women and girls. I believe their voices can help change the future.
